I certify that the pension which may be paid to the Applicant according to the Rules of the Colonial Service, amounts to six hundred and thirty-four Dollars- sixty-six cents.
and I base my Certificate on the following calculation:---
Mr James Parker entered the service on the 3rd July, 1874. His services therefore extended over a period of 13 years. His salary is $1,920 per annum, valued at $320 per quarter.
It's salary has not been increased or revised during the last three years.
He is thus entitled to an annual pension of $634, being 1/3 of his final salary.
